At Green Event Ninjas we work with event producers, planners, and suppliers (e.g. venues, caterers, etc.) to help them get the most value out of their operations and events by looking at the issues they’re facing through a sustainability lens. Our services include sustainable event consulting, event cleaning and waste management, event carbon footprints, and event sustainability standards compliance.

Who We Are Looking For
Green Event Ninjas is seeking a highly organized and friendly Admin Ninja to join our ninja tribe! In this position, you will be the backbone of our operations, working closely with our team to keep the office running smoothly.
Position Details: Administrative Assistant | Event Cleaning
Join our team at the Great New York State Fair!
- Event Dates: Aug 26–Sept 7 (pre-event and post-event shifts will be required outside of these exact dates)
- Shifts:
- 1st Shift: Day (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- 2nd Shift: Evening (2:00 PM – 12:00 AM)
- 3rd Shift: Overnight (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Pay: $26.75 per hour
- Location: 581 State Fair Boulevard, Syracuse, New York
Role Requirements
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
- Assist with staff check-in and check-out procedures.
- Track and distribute uniforms.
- Ensure onboarding paperwork and compliance documents are complete.
- Maintain accurate employee records and incident reports.
- Manage secure distribution of pay checks and track payroll corrections.
- Provide general administrative support as required.

Additional Qualifications
- Work Location: In person (reliable transportation to and from the venue is required)
- Prior experience: High volume administrative or office experience (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (telephone, written, and face to face)
- Professional, approachable, and team-focused.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task between a variety of tasks and projects.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain or shine) and navigating crowded, fast-paced environments.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
