Event Garbage, Recycling and Organics Bin Rentals
Trash cans and recycling stations for festivals, fairs and tournaments, delivered and picked up. Setup and breakdown available at an additional cost.
Bins that make sorting easy
Green Event Ninjas rents the garbage, recycling and organics bins that big outdoor events run on: steel X-frame bins that fold flat, sign frames that turn every station into a billboard, spill bases, lids, labels and the bags and gloves to go with them. We deliver to the site and pick everything up when the last truck leaves. Setup and breakdown are not included by default, but for an additional cost our crew will place the stations where the crowd actually walks and fold them away afterwards.
Bins on their own suit markets, races, community festivals and corporate days. For the biggest crowds, or a zero-waste target, pair the bins with our crews: see event waste management and recycling for staffed sorting stations and event cleaning services for the grounds, restrooms and overnight cleanup.
What we rent
Three streams, one frame. Garbage, recycling and organics, with the signs and bases to match.
X-frame event bins
Our workhorse. A light steel wire frame with a colour-coded lid that holds a standard bag, stands up to a weekend of wind, rain and festival crowds, and folds flat so dozens fit on one pallet. Rented in garbage, recycling and organics sets so every station offers all three streams.
Billboard sign frames
A sign panel that clips to the X-frame and puts your sponsor, your sorting instructions or your event’s own message at eye level. The easiest way to lift diversion is to tell people what goes where, in big letters, right at the bin.
Spill bases and lids
A leak-proof plastic base keeps liquids off the grass, the turf or the arena floor, and lids keep wasps and rain out. Recommended for anything with beer tents, food trucks or a long weekend.
Solid plastic bins
Enclosed bins for indoor spaces: a VIP lounge, a hospitality tent, a lobby, anywhere with carpet or concrete floors where you want the garbage out of sight. Color-coded lids for the three streams.
Custom labels and branding
Bin labels in your event’s look, with the streams named the way your local facility wants them. Additional cost, and worth it for sponsored events: the label from Supercrawl 2019 is still doing the rounds on our site.
Bags, gloves and supplies
Bags. Gloves. Bags and gloves. Bagloves! We buy a lot of bags and gloves, which means we buy them well, and we pass the pricing on with your rental, along with clear bags for recycling, compostable liners for organics and the rest of the cleaning cupboard.
Carts, blowers and other equipment
Tilt carts, leaf blowers, vacuums and the odd bit of kit an event realizes it needs on the Thursday. Short-term rentals, delivered with the bins.
How a bin rental works
1. Tell us about the event
Dates, site, expected attendance, what is being sold and whether you have a hauler booked. The quote form at the bottom of this page asks for exactly that.
2. We recommend a plan
How many stations, where they go, which streams make sense for your food and drink, and what the signs should say. If you are new to sorting at events we will tell you where to start. Going all in on zero waste in year one is rarely the right first move; walk before you run.
3. Delivery
We deliver the bins folded on a pallet, with the bases, lids, signs and bags, plus a station map. Setup is not included by default: your team unfolds the frames and places the stations. If you would rather we did it, add setup to the order for an additional cost and our crew places every station where the plan says.
4. Pickup
Breakdown is not included by default either: your team folds the frames and stacks the bases and signs for collection, and we come and take everything away. If you would rather we did it, add breakdown to the order for an additional cost and we fold, collect and load it all ourselves.
Bins alone, or bins with a crew?
Well-signed bins do most of the work on their own. Big lettering, pictures of what goes where and three streams side by side lift separation at source well above what a row of unmarked event trash cans manages, and for most markets, races, community festivals and corporate days that is the whole plan. For the largest crowds, or an event chasing a zero-waste target, add staffing: our Recycling Ninjas run zero waste stations (we call them Recycling Dojos), consolidate back of house and hand you a diversion report at the end. Read about event waste management and recycling, or hand us the whole site with event cleaning services.
Where we deliver
We are based in Toronto and deliver across Ontario: Toronto and the GTA, Hamilton, Ottawa and the festival grounds in between. In the United States we cover New York State, from Syracuse to New York City, and Houston and the wider Texas market. The Ninjas have also set up bins in Chicago, Miami, Calgary, Vancouver and, yes, Antigonish, Nova Scotia. If your event is somewhere else, ask; we have travelled for the right event before.
Events that have used our bins
From the RBC Canadian Open to the Great New York State Fair and the Toronto FIFA Fan Festival (2026, working with GFL Environmental). See our clients and previous work.
Questions we get about bin rentals
Straight answers to what organizers ask before they rent event bins.
How much does it cost to rent event bins?
Every event is quoted on its own dates, site, attendance and streams, because a two-day street festival and a week-long fair need very different amounts of everything. Tell us about the event in the form below and we will be in touch with a plan and a price.
Is there a minimum order?
No fixed minimum. Delivery is charged on every order regardless of size, since the bins may be travelling across the province or across the country to reach you, and we quote it together with the rental.
How far ahead should we book?
As early as you have dates. Bin stock is finite and the summer weekends go first. That said, we have turned around last-minute orders more than once; ask.
What goes in each stream?
It depends on the facility your hauler takes the material to, which is why we set the signs and labels to match the local rules. As a rule: bottles, cans and cups in recycling; food and compostable serviceware in organics; everything else in garbage. We will walk your vendors through it if you want.
Do you rent cardboard trash cans for events?
No. Disposable cardboard bins tip over in wind, soak through in rain, and end up in the garbage themselves. Our steel X-frame bins hold the same bag, stand up to a weekend outdoors, and go back on the truck to be used again. If you have been quoted cardboard by someone else, ask us for a comparison.
Can the bins carry our sponsor’s branding?
Yes. Billboard sign frames take a full-size panel, and custom labels put your event or sponsor on every bin. Branding is an additional cost; send us the artwork and we will quote it.
Do you empty the bins during the event?
That is our event waste management service rather than a rental: staffed zero waste stations, back-of-house consolidation and hauler coordination. Worth adding for the largest crowds or a zero-waste target; see event waste management and recycling.
Do you deliver outside Ontario?
Yes: New York State, Houston and Texas regularly, and further afield for the right event. The Where we deliver section above has the list.
