At Green Event Ninjas we work with event producers, planners, and suppliers (e.g. venues, caterers, etc.) to help them get the most value out of their operations and events by looking at the issues they’re facing through a sustainability lens. Who We Are Looking For
Green Event Ninjas is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to lead our cleaning team as a Supervisor Ninja. In this role, you’ll provide leadership and support to our Recycling Ninjas, working hands-on alongside staff to ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained.
You’ll coordinate daily cleaning operations, assist with problem-solving on-site, and ensure our high standards of cleanliness and service are met throughout the fairgrounds.

- Event Dates: Aug 26–Sept 7 (Part Time, Seasonal)
- Shifts:
- 1st Shift: Day (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- 2nd Shift: Evening (2:00 PM – 12:00 AM)
- 3rd Shift: Overnight (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Pay: $26.75 per hour
- Location: 581 State Fair Boulevard, Syracuse, New York
Role Requirements
- Supervise and support Recycling Ninjas during all cleaning operations.
- Oversee cleaning and waste removal across the event grounds, buildings, bathrooms, and compactors.
- Demonstrate strong skills in leadership, time management, and task prioritization.
- Assist with unloading and distributing supplies across the venue.
- Assist with training, managing breaks, and ensuring company policies are enforced (uniform, attendance, safety, performance standards etc.).
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for staffing administration, including accurately documenting employee incident reports, tracking attendance, and escalating personnel issues to management.
- Use two-way radios to report live updates and respond quickly to maintenance requests across the fairgrounds.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, and staying on the move with extended walking, and standing.

Additional Qualifications
- Work location: In person (reliable transportation to and from the venue is required)
- Prior experience: 2+ years of supervising a team.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age due to legal requirements for operating machinery.
- Professional, approachable, and team-focused.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain or shine) and navigating crowded, fast-paced environments.
- Ability to maintain a high level of physical activity including standing/walking for the duration of a shift, lifting up to 50 lbs, navigating stairs, and performing repetitive motions (lifting, kneeling, trash handling etc.).
- Commitment to following all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques, safely operating equipment (push carts, vacuum), PPE use, and reporting safety hazards, spills, and damaged equipment.
