At Green Event Ninjas we work with event producers, planners, and suppliers (e.g. venues, caterers, etc.) to help them get the most value out of their operations and events by looking at the issues they’re facing through a sustainability lens. Who We Are Looking For 

Green Event Ninjas is seeking a highly organized and friendly Staffing Coordinator to join our ninja tribe! In this position, you will be the backbone of our operations, working closely with our team to handle recruiting, manage accurate-time tracking, and ensure our Ninjas are supported on site.

Position Details: Recycling Ninja | Event Cleaning

Join our team at the Great New York State Fair!

  • Event Dates: Aug 26–Sept 7 (pre-event setup and post-event teardown shifts will be required outside of these exact dates)
  • Shifts: 
    • 1st Shift: Day (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
    • 2nd Shift: Evening (2:00 PM – 12:00 AM)
    • 3rd Shift: Overnight (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Pay: $26.75 per hour
  • Location: 581 State Fair Boulevard, Syracuse, New York

Role Requirements 

  • Assist the recruitment process by pre-screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
  • Complete onboarding for all new hires, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Oversee on-site clock-in/out procedures and approve daily timesheets.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and adjust staffing levels to meet the needs of the fairgrounds.
  • Manage the staffing inbox, phone line, and other duties as assigned.
  • Submit daily staffing reports.

Additional Qualifications

  • Work Location: In person (reliable transportation to and from the venue is required)
  • Prior experience: High volume administration, recruitment, and HR is an asset. 
  • Professional, approachable, and team-focused. 
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task between a variety of tasks and projects. 
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain or shine) and navigating crowded, fast-paced environments.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
