Green Event Ninjas is thrilled to be returning for the fourth year in a row to help with the with the New York State Fair. We’re excited to see all the returning Recycling Ninjas this year and welcome to all the new Ninjas joining our team!

If you need to pick up for check from Aug 19th-25th, admin will be on site from 9am – 5pm.
If you worked between Aug 16th – Sept 1st, a check will be available for pick up at the compound on Sun, Sept 8th.

Job Description
Wage:
- Beginning at: $17.60 /hour
Positions:
- General Cleaning Staff
- Supervisor
Location, Dates, Shifts:
- Location: New York State Fairgrounds, 581 State Fair Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13209
- Event dates: Wed, Aug 21, 2024 – Mon, Sept 2, 2024
- Daytime (1st), evening (2nd) and overnight (3rd) shifts available
Responsibilities:
Event Clean Up:
- Cleaning bathrooms, grounds, compactors, and buildings
- Picking up loose litter on the ground and clearing the vending areas
- Changing trash bins, lifting bags onto push carts, and bringing waste to our compactors
- Keeping the bathrooms tidy and wiping down surfaces, mopping floors, restocking supplies, and picking up trash
- Assisting the management team in unloading equipment and other duties assigned
- Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs
Additional Information:
- All appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
- Please note that this event takes place outdoors. Recycling Ninjas are expected to dress for the weather (i.e. rain or shine, warm or cool).
- Water will be provided, in addition to scheduled lunch.
- Branded Green Event Ninjas T-Shirts will be provided. Please wear black and comfortable closed toe shoes.
